APOLLO 39

Apollo was one of the most complex and important gods of the panoply of 12 who ruled Greek mythology, the many facets of daily life for which he was responsible sun, light and knowledge. Riffing on his strength, Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle, cofounders of Broberg & Ridderstråle Design and Architecture, created the Apollo 39 Pendant for the Swedish brand Pholc. Machine-turned from a solid piece of brass or aluminum, the conical shapes on this fixture have luminous raw metal surfaces that gleam. The aluminum fixture comes in three finishes on the stem—black ink, light gray and winter white. The brass fixture comes in five finishes on the stem—black ink, coral pink, deep sea, forest and honey gold.
